Commitment

Our support for the trainee initiative "Hallo, Zukunft!"

Toll Collect supports the initiative "Hallo, Zukunft!" (Hello Future!) aimed at attracting more young people to the traffic management, transport and logistics sector. The industry desperately needs new workers. According to current estimates, an additional 150,000 professional drivers will be needed over the next ten years. As a socially responsible company, Toll Collect works together with the Heinrich Vogel publishing to support this important field of business.

"We are committed to securing the future of mobility", explains Toll Collect CEO Hanns-Karsten Kirchmann. "Logistics is a key business sector in Germany. It is important to promote its success by ensuring reliable toll collection to fund our transport infrastructure and by actively supporting the search for young talent".

Part of the effort involves going into schools to raise awareness among young people about jobs in the logistics sector, especially as professional drivers. The Heinrich Vogel publishing house and welcomed Toll Collect as a new partner and co-founder in 2013. This joint partnership has resulted in many new opportunities.

"BEST BKF", Germany's first apprentice competition for professional drivers, is the most recent example. Participants are required to answer a series of tricky questions about the training programme. The top-three apprentices win cash prizes worth €6,000 and are invited to the Truck Grand Prix at the Nürburgring.

Heinrich Vogel and Toll Collect have published an information brochure and created a website that provides detailed information about training programmes for professional drivers.
