Toll reimbursement: Federal Office for Goods Transport (BAG) activates application form

The Federal Office for Goods Transport (BAG) has activated the online platform you can use to submit an application for toll reimbursement. The toll rate portion for infrastructure costs for journeys within the period from 28 October 2020 to 30 September 2021 can be reimbursed.

Relevant toll statements are required for the application. You can download them free of charge from the Toll Collect customer portal. In the interest of data protection, no other documents can be made available.

The reason for this procedure is the new truck toll rates in Germany since 1 October 2021, which shall apply retroactively from 28 October 2020. The toll rate proportion for infrastructure costs has been reduced, while the toll rate proportion for air pollution costs has increased. In total, the toll rates per kilometre have lowered slightly depending on the emission class.

Claims may be made until the end of 2023.
