Toll Collect is checking vehicle data
From mid-April 2025, Toll Collect will check the accuracy of toll-relevant vehicle data that cannot be recognised from the outside, such as emission class, technically permissible maximum Lladen mass and drive type (fuel type/ energy source). Therefore, please upload the vehicle registration certificate for future vehicle registrations and when changing the vehicle data..
After uploading the vehicle registration certificate, only the necessary details need to be confirmed or adjusted as required. This makes vehicle registration more convenient and increases data quality. In addition, this information can be used to minimise stops and official checks.
What vehicle data must be verified?
The following tariff-relevant vehicle data must be verified by suitable documents:
- Emission class
- Drive type (fuel type / energy source)
- Technically Permissible Maximum Laden Mass (TPMLM)
In addition, the vehicle identification number (VIN) must be provided to uniquely identify the vehicle.
What do you need to do?
Please upload the vehicle registration certificate when registering a new vehicle or changing the vehicle data.
If this tariff-relevant vehicle data is not clearly recognisable, please submit additional verification documents, e.g:
- Customer Information File (CIF)
- Certificate of Conformity (CoC)
- CEMT authorisation for compliance with technical and safety requirements
Important notes on submission:
- Check document quality
- Please scan or photograph your documents in full, as a whole and, if possible, in colour.
- The text should be easy to read. Use the camera app on your smartphone or a scanner. Other apps may automatically reduce the image quality.
- When photographing documents, take care to photograph vertically from above and not at an angle.
- Please ensure that you do not upload documents from several vehicles in the same file.
- Please submit all documents together in one file.
- Permitted file formats are: PDF, JPG, JPEG. Other formats cannot be processed. In this case, proof is deemed not to have been provided.
- The file must not exceed a size of 5 MB.
- The check status for the vehicle is also displayed in the customer portal.
